It follows a group of military superhumans consisting of a human leader, a werewolf, a vampire, Frankenstein’s monster, and a gorgon. Series writer and creator James Gunn appears in the opening titles with a laptop typing a script.

This series has fantastic characters and is extremely creative
I’ve always loved the DC universe, and while I think the DCEU has been hated, I’ve been very disappointed with several DCEU projects. I guess when James Gunn says that superhero movies and TV have become too generic, that’s the gist, right?
I think James Gunn is really going to change things up and I can’t wait for that
There have been so many superhero movies in the last decade that when people see a new movie come out, they don’t go to the theater because they think “yet another superhero movie, geez, there have been too many” because they’re all the same, just generic action movies (especially sequels). I also think that since Marvel has been so much more popular, DC has a lot of great characters that have been forgotten (by fans) and I think if everything with DC goes well in the next few years, the lesser known characters could do well at the box office as long as they can grab people’s attention and really have a special touch.

But yeah, this was a great start and I can only see it getting better from here. “One Hundred Years of Solitude” is one of the biggest TV and streaming premieres this month.
